Barnes and Noble Book Signing

Saturday, October 10, I was at Barnes and Noble in the East Towne Mall, Madison, Wisconsin for the kick-off to the Educator's Week and Mystery Month Events. It was a wonderful experience. I met new authors, even one who lives in my neighborhood.

My New Book

I received the cover layout for my new book, "My Solemn Promise" today. I am very happy with it. Here is a brief synopsis of the story.

Her solemn promise is to wipe the memory of Sophie's existaence off the face of the earth. His solemn promise is to love Sophie until the end of time.

Mystery and suspense follow Adam Bronsky and Sophia Concetta Palermo in this fast-paced story of jealousy, revenge and love's endurance. A strong-willed father, a possesive mother and a scorned, unstable woman prove to be as painful as the burning fires of hell, for with their individual meddling,evil deeds emerge. A series of events, culminating in abduction and attempted murder, tear at the fabric of the couple's relationship, ripping it apart at the seam. Unable to cope, Sophie breaks their engagement, thus forcing Adam to lave New York and begin a new life. Realizing she has made a terrible mistake, Sophie attempts reconcillation. It is too late. Adam is gone. But fate intervenes as a "chance" meeting reunites the star-crossed lovers.

My Brother's Death

On Labor Day September 7, 2009, my younger brother died from a long illness. Although his passing was not unexpected, it is hard to accept. Losing a parent is one thing, but losing a sibling is another. It is a hard pill to swallow. My heart is saddened, yet there is a part of me that doesn't quite believe it. I tried to write it down, but as of yet, I am at a loss for words.
My brother was funny, moody, generous and at times, a royal pain, but I loved him and I will miss him. He was only 56 years-old. He had two children and five grandchildren.

Barnes and Noble

An update on my recent book signing at Barnes and Noble in Schaumburg, IL.

The signing was a huge success. I enjoyed meeting the customers and talking with them. I not only sold copies of my new romance novel, "A Long Journey Back", I also sold many copies of my children's chapter books: "Moonlight Dare", "Secrets Inside Bington Manor", "In the Shadows of Bington Manor" and "Suddenly Alone: A Family Adventure.

Along with bookstore signings,I am available for school presentations.
